Balearic Yacht Destination at Monaco Yacht Show 2022

Balearic Yach Destination will attend, once again, the meeting point par excellence of superyachts in the Mediterranean: the Monaco Yacht Show.

Continuing with its commitment to promote the Balearic Islands as a benchmark in the international nautical sector, Balearic Marine Cluster, through its brand Balearic Yacht Destination, will once again attend the international fair to be held from 28 September to 1 October in Port Hercules, Monaco.

The Monaco Yacht Show continues to focus on reaching the end customers of superyachts, and this year its main focus is to attract a new superyacht charter customer and redefine the yachting industry.

In the unbeatable setting of this macro event, Balearic Yacht Destination aims to promote and showcase what the islands of Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera have to offer, not only as a tourist destination, but also as a technical destination, demonstrating that the Balearic Islands are the perfect 360 destination for any yachting enthusiast.

Balearic Yacht Destination will have its own stand (AL43), where 17 companies associated with Balearic Marine Cluster will be represented: Astilleros de Mallorca, Atlante Marine Solutions, BWA, Bas & Josa, Estela Shipping, Evolution, SOS Yachting, Grupo IPM, Infe Group, Lantimar, Nautipaints, Nautiel, Ocibar, Port Call, P&G Yachting, Undercover and Yacht Service.

Balearic Yacht Destination in MYSIn the context of the Monaco Yacht Show, and after three years marked by restrictions and the limitation of holding social meetings, Balearic Marine Cluster and the Consell de Mallorca have organized an event with the aim of resuming both B2B and B2C relations.

What’s new at the show:

There are currently 93 boats confirmed to be exhibited during these days, although the event organisers assure that this figure will exceed one hundred before 28 September. 38 of these boats are new builds.

Among the new features of the show are three new areas:

Adventure Area

This new area will feature a wide range of touring vehicles, ATVs, water toys, helicopters and more off-road vehicules. The exhibition will be located on Quai Antonier and Quai Jarlan, where the tenders will be on display.

Sustainable Yachting Solutions Area

This area, dedicated to sustainability, will host companies specializing in reducing the environmental impact of superyachts.

The creation of this area is part of the eco-responsible approach adopted by the Monaco Yacht Show in 2005, with the aim of raising awareness of environmental problems among the show’s participants and creating a space in which to share ideas and projects to combat them.

From Balearic Marine Cluster we carry out several environmental projects such as the study of Waste Circularity project from the Nautical Industry. Therefore, this section is of special interest to us and we will certainly visit this area more than once, to learn more about the pioneering projects that are being developed in the sector.

The exhibition will be located in Darse Sub, in the section dedicated to nautical and technological equipment.

New format of the Yacht Design and Innovation hub

The Yacht Designer & Innovation hub, which will open in 2021, will double its size to accommodate the exhibitors of the Designer Gallery, concentrating all the yacht design in one place. This exhibition will be located on the Virage Chiron quays.
