What is MYBA?
The Mediterranean Yacht Broker Association – the Worldwide Yachting Association – was formed in 1984 by prominent yacht brokers with the aim of promoting standards of professionalism and ethics in the charter industry. With a growing global membership, it operates in 48 countries, with 142 corporate members, 240 individual members and thousands of friends and followers on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and its own YouTube channel.
Run by professionals for professionals it holds its own annual charter boat show, featuring not only boats and brokers, but also seminars, workshops, training courses and competitions.
Amongst the competitions held are contests for Chefs, tablescaping (yes, you read it right!) for Stews, Meet and Greet and All Hands On Deck.
At the recent 31st MYBA charter show in Port Vell, Barcelona, Peter Brown of Global Yachting Group, gave an excellent talk about the aims and missions of Balearic Yacht Destination to those at the show.
