Mallorca Fam Trip 2022

The second edition of the Fam Trip Mallorca, organized by the Consell de Mallorca and Balearic Marine Cluster through its commission Balearic Yacht Destination was held from April 28th to May 1st.   

This year the participants were: Marianne Danissen from Camper & Nicholson, Andrea Pitaco from Fraser, Paul Archer from Arrow Yachts, Richie Blake from Döhle Yachts, David Westwood from TWW Yachts, Martin Redmayne from The Superyacht Group, and Colin Squire from Yachting Matters 

During these days several activities and visits were carried out, which allowed showing Mallorca not only as a tourist destination but also as a technical destination of reference in the nautical industry 

 

Thursday 28th April:     

The 7 participants of the Fam Trip arrived on the island and after settling in at the Nivia Born Boutique Hotel enjoyed a welcome dinner attended by Toni Salom and Pedro Suasi, president and manager of Balearic Marine Cluster.   

 

Friday 29th April:  

The day began with a guided tour of the island’s capital, Palma de Mallorca.   

After strolling through its streets and learning about the history of the city, the attendees visited STP and Astilleros de Mallorca, where the possibilities that the customer has to carry out their repair projects were explained.  

The next stop of the day was the marina of Port Adriano, where taking advantage of the unbeatable weather in Mallorca, they enjoyed a stroll through the marina and an exquisite lunch overlooking the harbor.  

After getting to know the facilities offered by Port Adriano, the attendees returned to the city of Palma, where they visited the Palma International Boat Show, where Balearic Marine Cluster had its own stand.   

To end the day the participants of the Fam trip attended along with the associates of the Balearic Marine Cluster a networking Cocktail held on the rooftop of the Nivia Born Boutique Hotel.   

This event was an excellent opportunity for the participants of the Fam Trip to get to know more closely the main companies that form the nautical fabric of Mallorca. 

 

Saturday 30th April:  

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, attendees traveled to Alcudia Bay and visited Alcudiamar, where they enjoyed a boat ride.   

After visiting the old town and having lunch at the Alcudiamar Botel, the participants returned to Palma where they bid farewell to the city with dinner at the Aromata restaurant of Michelin Star Chef Andreu Genestra, where they were able to enjoy the gastronomy of Mallorca.  

The second edition of the Mallorca Fam Trip has generated nothing but positive comments from both companies and participants.
